Where’s The Money Coming From?

Here’s my challenge to the people who claim HR3200 will be self-funding: Assuming the bill only costs $900 billion, itemize the various plans you have for funding the project and outline exactly how this bill will be paid for. For extra credit, explain to me why these cost-saving measures can only be made by passing HR3200 or why you’ve decided to squander tax payer dollars by ignoring these fixes until now.

Democrats, you own a majority in both houses of Congress and the Presidency. You proposed this bill. It’s your party. Own it. Take responsibility for it. Act like a adults and treat us like adults. Explain yourselves. Descending to this level of behavior is childish.

Arlen Specter’s Party Switch

Arlen Specter announced he was changing parties today, switching from the Republican Party to the Democratic Party. After the absolutely huge blow up surrounding his switch, I think it would be appropriate to join the fray and give my two cents: I’m unmoved by this news. If you want to know why, you only need to take a look at his record in the Senate.
