DNC Roundup: Wednesday

Published by Janus on August 27, 2008

Speakers for tonight included Harry Ried, Nancy Pelosi, Richard Daley, Chuck Schumer, Ken Salazar, John Kerry, and, of course, Joe Biden and Bill Clinton. If you didn’t see the coverage, I’d like you to guess which delivered the best speech. Go on, guess.

Nope. It was John Kerry. Not only was his the best speech of the night, it was probably the best speech of the convention so far.

I’ll let that sink in for a minute.

How pathetic is that? John Kerry is the highlight of the evening. This convention is so unbelievably full of fail. I’m a wakko that eats, drinks, and sleeps politics. This? This is boring. At one point during Biden’s speech, the cameras cut over to a crowd reaction shot … and caught some guy on his cell phone.

At least Obama, who showed up at the end of the night, thinks the convention’s going well.

In completely unrelated news, McCain gained another point in the daily Rasmussen poll this morning putting the vote at 44% Obama, 47% McCain.
