Alright, so I’ve been busy. Really busy, actually.

Regular readers (not that there are any left after I’ve taken a 3 month break from posting) might notice I’ve been rather quiet lately. A while back I got a job. A real job. Working for other people, even. I’d be lying if I said that working for myself wasn’t the most fun I’ve ever had in life, but sometimes life throws you a curveball and the only thing you can do is swing for the fences.

This month I got a raise, was put in charge of a large project, racked up a couple thousand frequent flyer miles, and averaged something like 65 hours of work a week. It’ll be my turn to be on call next week managing hundreds of servers and that pretty much means I’ll get 15-20 hours of sleep in 45 minute increments over the next seven days.

Honestly, it’s been a little overwhelming. I used to make a half-decent living working 20 hours a week half naked from my living room. Now I have to wear real pants and shirt. It’s even got to have a collar and everything.

That said, I miss writing. Writing is one of the few things in life that I truly enjoy that doesn’t involve flickering lights, talking meatballs, or potty humor. Unless I’m trading ATHF quotes over AIM. I guess then it all starts to blur togeather.

Any who, I’m determined to get back to the grind and keep the blog going. I’m sorry for the wait.
