To liberals, it is more about putting a "solution" out there. It doesn't matter if it works, if it fixes, if it harms, or if it even addresses the issue. As long as they *act* like they are addressing the issue, then it is all good. Besides, they will blame it on Bush or Glenn Beck when it fails anyways. We all know that they're ignoring the real problems with healthcare because tackling those would be political suicide so they're just wallpapering over them with massive spending that will not only not fix the real problems but will probably exacerbate them in the long run. But by then, Obama will be out of office and he won't be called to task for screwing things up even worse than they are now. Welcome to American politics. What can you expect from your government? This is the real problem with Washington. Even when they can cut billions in waste (and they can't cause they're fracking incompetent) they still won't do it.. and when they manage to actually get their act togeather and try, they tie it in with all this other bs that fracks everything up worse than it was before.
